Not powering on anymore, but charge light still comes on

I was trying to fix the top screen, that went well and it works, but at one point I broke the little flap on the circle pad's connector. With the bottom part of the shell still off, I taped that down as a temporary fix and it still worked. But when I was going to test it more, I don't think I was holding the battery in right (wasn't making enough contact) and I powered it on, it turned on then off a second later, speakers made a pop sound. I tried it 2 more times, same thing, until on the 4th try it wouldnt power on at all.

Charge light comes and stays on with battery in, is only on for 1-2 seconds with it not in.
