Why is my MacBook Pro say Service Recommended after replacement?

My Macbook Pro battery indicator still says Service Recommended with an X in it after having replace the battery. I tried to do the battery calibration but it wasn't showing me the percentage on it. I know it was a brand new battery so I tried to restart the mac multiple times to pretty much no avail. I haven't drained the battery yet to calibrate it because it is not showing that it is actually charging and at 100%.

It would show it getting power, but later it would say not charging and service recommended. I have also tried the smc reset on it but it didn't work because the battery needed to stay plugged in for it to turn on or something I don't know.

Is their anyone that can help me reset the battery indicator or fix my problem in general?

Let’s get a better view of things, install this gem of an App CoconutBattery post a snapshot of the apps main window while the charger is plugged in. Post it here so we can see as well.

Filtre ölçütü:

Finder / Prefs / Sidebar / Locations / tick under icloud the mac

Navigate then to mac HDD / Library / Prefs / delete the 3 files com.apple.power. Empty the trash & restart. Best to do this when the battery is at 100% charge.

Maybe that helps?
