Disk tray stuck and won't open.

Hi,I have a PS3 super slim and it won't open the disk tray. I tried sliding it with my hand. I tried opening it with the eject button. Still wouldn't budge. My console is a cech-4303C. Any help?

Hi!

Yeah I recognize this issue. The fault is in the top cover.

You can follow this guide: PlayStation 3 Super Slim Optical Drive Replacement (Till step 7!)

I always replace the top cover as whole so that the issue is fixed. But please check within the top cover where the issue is.

If you are not sure where it is, please share some pictures with us so we can check with you as well.

Oh boy. Turns out the top cover is SUPER GLUED!! Guess I ain't fixing it since I'm not a professional In fixing stuff. But thank you!

Oh my… that is not a good sign indeed. Please replace the top cover. Those are not expensive. If you can’t find one,, then you can consider to buy a broken PS3 Super Slim (with a broken motherboard as example). Then you can use the top cover from that one! Plus you do have some spare parts (drive etc).
