No sound even after removing headphone jack

So yeah it chimes when turns on then goes straight to headphones. Have had this issue on other Macbooks and a cleanup fixes it but after I cleaned the headphones jack thoroughly still had no sound.

Removed the whole thing (headphones jack) and still nothing.

What gives…?

Yep! Thats the correct action as within the headphone jack is a set of switches! But beyond that the I/O Cable connects to the logic board so the audio signal can get to the I/O board where the headphone socket is located.

You likely need a new I/O Board cable or I/O board to get this working. You have a 50-50 Chance between the two!

Yeah I reckon I'll have to replace something… likely the board though cause I been removing/reinstalling the cable many times to test the audio and if the cable were faulty I believe it would've likely gotten worse…
