The GameCube is Nintendo's fourth console gaming system. Repair is simple and requires only common tools.

Why does my GameCube’s power light flash once?

So my GameCube started rapidly resetting, so I turned it off. When I turned it on again, the fan would spin and the orange light would flash but nothing else would happen. What do I do?

So I figured it out. If anyone else ever has this issue, it's the power board. I replaced mine with another and the GameCube's working with no issues at all.

Hi!

First take the top cover off, so that the buttons (power and reset) are free. Then try to turn it on again. Is it still resetting it self? Try to replace the front panel and try again. Could also be power button related OR power supply related.

I don’t know if it still resets, because it won’t turn on. The orange light flashes once and the fan spins but nothing else

Okay, then I recommend to replace the power supply first! If that didn't worked, then please replace the front panel!

@dan0 front panel as in the controller panel?

Yes! Probably one of these 2 are faulty!

I've tried a new external power supply, but I have not tried a new controller panel. I removed the one I have and it still didn't turn on, is that normal?
