My nano jumps during playback
my nano 7th gen jumps during playback and only works with lightning cable connected.

In terms of the playback jumping, have you tested this with different songs or different media? There's a chance your files could be corrupted.
As for only working with a lightning cable, the battery inside the unit may be broken and would have to be replaced.
