I need a new trackpad flex cable for the latest MacBook Air model. The last one was damaged by milk. Does anyone know where to get one of these? Any support is strongly appreciated.

Hello Hannah! I found the flex cable on AliExpress. It looks like the correct part, but I have no idea if it does work. I couldn't find it on amazon or similar marketplaces. Hope it does fit.
EDIT: Bought one and ill report back if it fits and works as expected. it comes on Dec 8th.

As this is such a new system your choices are limited to Apple. As it turns out Apple now offers parts directly! Here’s the main site Apple Self Service Repair
So… jumping to the also available MacBook Air (13-inch, M3, 2024) Repair Manual we can see if Apple offers the needed part, sadly they only sell it with the trackpad Exploded view and available parts select the color of your system and follow the first link on ordering it.
Your other option is a bit iffy right now as getting recovered parts from damaged systems would be something I would pursue in older systems as an example TheBookYard in the UK has the part listed just not available, even still I would email them to see if they have it if you live in the EU.

I don't like Apple's Self Service Repair. The parts tend to be overpriced. And its just another crappy tactic to make people feel like they are trying to be more repair friendly. When in reality they aren't even close.
As one Reddit user said:
"I really hate that apple is expensive to repair Then again, there is nothing on the market that could offer me what apple could offer. I'm sad that i have no options with price and build quality"
@betatechlabsau - I don’t disagree! As I stated right now they are the only option. I’ve been burnt to many times going to China via Aliexpress, more so on the newer gear and if the part is marked with an Apple logo it often won’t make it to me as our hawkish customs will bin it! I prefer getting parks from US or UK sources as my first choice, then I’ll try others.
But that’s me, others may not have much of a choice.
I'm going order one from AliExpress and try it. I have a MacBook Air 13" (2024) in my collection that I don't care about. It has a bad battery anyway.
@betatechlabsau - You do know Apple has a warranty to cover the battery? They will replace it for free! That’s the 2024 model correct? Don’t you want to stick it to them?
@danj Yep. I did know that. If I take it in again that would be the 3rd time they "Replaced" the battery.
