Update file is corrupted

Hello, I haven't used my PS5 in about 2-4 months. The other day when i went to play on it it said that it needs to update. I attempted the update which gave me an Error Message stating "Update File Is Corrupted," along with an error code SU-101265-5. I tried going into safe mode to try the update via USB which gave the same message, and code listed above. Now when turning the console on it is stuck in safe mode and comes up with the message "Cannot Start Your Console." I've tried looking on the PlayStation website for the error code and nothing came up. I have tried fully reinstalling the Software which still did not do anything. I have tried clearing the cache, rebuilding the database, regular reset, tried updating system again via both Ethernet, and USB. I had the USB files named PS5, UPDATE, PS5UPDATE.PUP. I have tried calling PlayStation customer service but they have told me that hey know nothing about the error code.

I was wondering if anyone else has ran into the same issue and if so Where you able to fix the error, if so how?

Hi Jacob!

I found this online: https://www.reddit.com/r/playstation/com...

He was able to solve it eventually.

But, I was read somewhere that this issue could be related to bad RAM memory.. The update file is somehow decompressed in the ram before being applied to the SSD. When the RAM memory is bad, it will show the error you are having.

You can find some more info here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/error-su-101...

If the ram memory is bad, it will be difficult to fix it, as it is soldered on the motherboard :(.
