PS4 screen turns blue with message

Upon starting up my PS4 the screen turns blue and it reads welcome back to PlayStation press the PS button to use the controller, but I’m pressing the button and nothing is happening.. I guess it was not turned off properly

Hi there!

Did you tried to connect the controller with usb first? So, plug in the usb in the PS4 and in the controller. Wait for 5 seconds and then press the PS button. It should be connected now. If this isn’t working, then please try with another controller.
