Why are you removing it? The system won’t work correctly without it.

iFixit has a wonderful guide for this: Power Mac G5 Graphics Card Replacement

However, it can be hard to release the tab at the base of the card. Looking at photos of the card to see how it engages may make it easier for you to understand how to un-latch it. It may require some finesse to disengage, but DO NOT force the card out, as you can damage the slot on the logic board.

@chrisgreen - the G5 system is different than the Intel models. Besides the system won’t work without it present, if you are adding a different board.

@danj Hey Dan, I'm going based of the fact that "G5" is mentioned in the post text and title. These days I'd think it's easier to mistake a G5 for a 1st gen Mac Pro than to do the reverse, so I'm assuming they actually have a G5. The G5 will boot without a video card (just had one in my shop a few weeks ago) but obviously with limited usefulness. It is quite a pain to un-latch the tab that holds the card in, so I throw in my $0.02. Without followup from @richard21408 it's hard to say what they need.
