In June 2017 Apple updated its 13" MacBook Air with a newer Broadwell Intel Core i5 processor, resulting in slightly increased performance and battery life.

MacBook backlit display issue

For the past few weeks my Macbook has been troubling me pretty much regularly. Whenever I close the lid (myself) or the display turns off automatically with the lid kept open, after some time when I open back the lid or press a key to wake it up the display doesn't turn on (the actual display is functional but I guess it's the backlit display that's causing the said issue). It's like trying to use your system with absolutely 0 brightness, you know it's functional but can't clearly see anything.

Things I have tried:

Reset the SMC and the PRAM both

I'm attaching along some files to help better understand the issue.

I have to wish myself luck and keep pressing random buttons for literally few minutes to turn the display back ON. this is killing me :(

It looks like the backlight circuit is failing and it is time to take it to a specialist to do the necessary work, it is a more common issue and usually quite fast to fix.... There are plenty of videos online to show the process... good luck!

Hey buddy I really appreciate your promt response, btw any idea how much it will cost in US?

@iamsaurabh This is a good question, some may ask $2-300 to fully diagnose and repair.... you have to shop around for a competitive price.... I am not in the US so I cannot really advise, here in PH I get it done for $25-30 !
