Cherokee WJ Cluster Issues

Hello everyone,

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ, and I’m experiencing multiple electrical issues. All the gauges on the instrument cluster have stopped working, the power windows are unresponsive, and the A/C is not functioning. The vehicle still starts and runs, but these systems remain inoperative.

I’ve checked the fuses and battery connections, but the issue persists. Has anyone encountered this before? Any advice on troubleshooting or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

@saraderesende sounds like a typical Jeep BCM (TIPM) ((PITA))issue. See if you can get the OBDII scanned and if it gives you a bunch of errors. For now, you might want to check the Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ Electronic Control Modules chapter from the workshop manual. Check the BCM description etc. and see if that explains thigs a bit better.

Check the ground wire from the driver door module harness through the A-pillar door jam. It always breaks.
