water damaged iPhone 3GS

after much deliberating and tearing down, ive came to the conlusion that i need to find the charging fuse on the logic board, (not the battery fuse) as the ipod work with a freshly charged battery but doens charge or sync, yes i have changed the charging dock and done the isopropyl soak, so can anyone tell me where the charging fuse is and where i can buy one from.

many thanks in advance.

stephen firstbrook, "I posted another one of my pic's for fuse location left is 3G right is 3GS. Dimensions are 3GS fuse is 2mm x 1.20mm and the 3G one is 1mm x 0.30mm approximately. This information is from my notepad and not sure where I got it from, but I do believe it is from one of the forums. So I would like to give credit to the anonymous author ;-) Based on these specs the appropriate part number (Littelfuse Inc) seems to be 0435002 for 3G and 0467002 for 3GS. A small note about 3GS: the above fuse size is 0603, a little smaller of the original. The correct size is 0805 (2012 Metric), but unfortunately Littelfuse doesn't have this size available. An alternative could be MFU08052 from Vishay/Beyschlag Inc." previously answered on here. If you find that your fuses are okay consider getting a new battery, since the Li batteries do not like water and should be replaced whenever they got immersed. If none of that works, you may have to replace the power management IC on the logic board. Hope this helps, good luck.
