After replacing headphone jack, output still stuck on headphones

Just replaced headphone jack and output is still stuck on headphones?! There's still no sound from speakers nor when headphones after connected. Im able to control volume level but that's it. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

@viziion do you have any audio? I know you do not have anything from the speakers but what about the headphones? Sure it could be U6300 but check first to see if you have power going to it. Check the voltage on U6360 PP3V3_S0 and PP1V8_S0_LDO_AUD

This Headphone jack assembly if working correctly is passive (some models have the DAC circuitry within the assembly). I would inspect the connector interface both sides for any damage. How about posting some nice tight focused pictures so we can see things too.

If the connector interface is not damaged or corroded then the logic within the logic board has a problem which switches the signal electrically Vs mechanically.

My apologies not sure if I understand and I believe this response was copied and paste from another question? When you say posting photos what exacting am I taking photos of? Headphone jack replacement, logic board, sound output...?

@viziion - It’s possible you saw a similar answer as this is not that uncommon an issue. I promise you I created this answer here, it’s not a copy and paste, nor is it AI generated!

The image is showing the mechanical switches within the jack as reference, within the logic board is a transistor switch setup that takes the mechanical switch’s signals and applies the same action electronically. This is done to lessen the exposure of signal noise is as best I can understand. It’s not that common an approach. Just like how Apples power button is a soft switch on its systems instead of a simple pole based switch.

Here we are focusing on the headphone jack assembly’s connection to the logic board that interface is what needs to be inspected before diving deeper into the schematics and board view drawings to measure the resistance & voltages

From what I've seen in my research is the "U6300" chip may need to be replaced on the logic board.

The company is charging $250-350 to diagnose and repair?

tarafından

@viziion - That’s about right

How was your inspection to hopefully remove a much cheaper repair.

My apologies, Is that a question or sarcasm?
