2006 Camry 2.4L - Vehicle Speed Sensor
So my camry has been running fine until last week I began to get hard gear shifts, then the ABS, check engine, and brake lights came on. The speedo also stopped working. The code indicated a VSS issue. At first I tried replacing it with a cheap sensor. All the warning lights went out and the speedo worked when I first started the engine, but the second time I started it all the warning lights were back and the speedo stopped working. I replaced the sensor again using a Dorman VSS 917-603 ($151.00). The same thing happened; it fixed all of the issues and I drove it for about a mile. This morning when I started it all the warnings were back with no speedo again!
I have no idea what to try now :-(
Does anyone have any thoughts?
