Anyone else with Front Glass / LCD Panel replacement quality issues?

Hi,

I had replaced several front glass / LCD panels for the iPod Touch 4.

And i encountered this particular issue with the replacements. (I had bought them from different suppliers, eBay mostly.)

And when replacing the LCD screen + glass. And closing the device properly im getting this weird "smudge" when i press the screen. Not so hard but even with the small force applied im getting this "ghost / smudge" that clears itself after a few seconds. (Imagine when pressing a calculator display and changes color.)

Any one else having this issue?

If so, any solution?

That's more likely due to slight misalignment (which may be due to poor quality --> poor fitting parts.) It's just the LCD being pushed against the midframe.

It could be poor quality parts. I've also found if the iPod's bezel has any dents in it this can cause the display to be out of place very slightly causing similar issues.

Also make sure the new glue stickers you apply are in the correct position and not overlapping the frame.
