How do I replace my audio port

I accidentally broke my headset's audio jack, and a piece of it got stuck in the laptop's audio port. I managed to remove the broken piece using hot glue. While the port still works, the audio is now sometimes distorted or sounds very poor.

You have two options here; one is that you can unsolder the original headphone jack (which assumes you have the requisite soldering skills), find a compatible replacement part (you might have to comb through thousands of parts for one with the right specifications), then solder the new part back in. This would require removing the I/O board from the laptop, but fortunately we have a copy of the Lenovo hardware manual saved here on site which shows exactly how to take it out.

The other choice would be to simply replace the I/O board; a fairly simple and straight-forward job for which you just have to follow the manual. They're readily available and probably not much more expensive than the headphone jack by itself. Here's an example my search for "lenovo v330-15ikb i/o board" came up with for about $10 USD.

Note that this is not an endorsement, just an example; there were many more results, so pick one that suits you.

Update (08/25/25)

In double-checking my search result, I realize that shipping is more than the cost of the item itself, but as I said, there are many other choices available so I'm sure you can find a better price.
