Why is my laptop switching on but ends on acer

It can lead to a problem with the boot drive. Try to enter the BIOS menu (pressing Del or F12 when computer boots), if BIOS works fine, that means there's a high chance to error in boot drive (SSD or HDD), bios just can't load the MBR from there. In that case you have to replace the boot drive or fix boot in case of software error.

Also check the appearance of the boot device name in BIOS menu. Check the boot order, maybe your device is just disappeared from boot order. Check the boot mode (AHCI/IDE) to be compatible with your device.
