Screen washed out in white

Can someone help me figure what’s the problem with my screen? It was working fine and all of the sudden a white shadow started covering the screen from the bottom right. Colors are still there but there’s a LOT of white. It wasn’t moved or touched, just did that. Powering off completely and disconnecting from electricity didn’t help .

edit after opening the back panel:

I have noticed after turning on again that the bottom right had a circular shape and when I touched there it was very hot, so hot that the bezel has a mark of the burnt, this matches to exactly where the white wash started to propagate to the rest of the screen. TV turned off on it own and I let it cool, after turning on again the small black circle had disappeared and it started getting hot again. I have turned off the TV and will remove more of the back panel to try reach the area.

I reached the point that the long boards are attached in a way that I have to figure how to remove without damaging the parts.
At this point the area that I hought was overheating is completely inside the panel and I'd have to remove all the components and tape around the edges. I havent been able to find schematics anywhere so I dont know what Im going to find.

At this point Im almost giving up on any hopes to complete this repair, not only finding the issue is being hard but the thought of finding the replacements parts is overwhelming, if you are reading and have any thoughts for motivation, Im all eyes to read.

@perter "but there’s a LOT of white" looks like this is caused by some backlight error. Your backlight seems to be over powered and you will have a washed out picture because of the missing dimming. This could be an issue with the actual backlight strips, Your TV use direct LED technology meaning there will be plenty of LED's behind your screen to light it up. It is also possible that this is related to the power board which may be supplying an overvoltage to the LEDs.

Try your menu and see if there is a backlight setting. Try to turn that down to as low as 20% and see if that makes a difference to the picture.

After that, unplug your TV and remove the back cover. Then visually check the boards for any obvious damaged components. Check all the wiring and unplug the wires and plug them back in, make sure they are properly seated. Post some images of all of your boards with your question. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that so we can see what you see. It is possible that this is either a power board or a backlight issues.

Normally a washed out picture is caused by a failed Gamma IC on the T-con board issue. This TV model seems to be a commercial series. It'll be a bit more different to get schematic etc., but not impossible.

@oldturkey03 Thank you for checking, I have been recovering from covid so this took me a bit longer. I have followed your instructions and cannot visually identify any defective component in the boards, I have also checked the wires and re-plug them making sure they are seating properly in the connectors.

I have noticed after turning on again that the bottom right has a circular shape and when I touched there it was very hot, so hot that the bezel has a mark of the burnt, this matches to exactly where the white wash started to propagate to the rest of the screen.

Im afraid what's under there and if the temperature has burned out other components as well.

@perter that could very well be coming from your backlight strips. Time to take it apart and to look at the strips. Get well first and no worries about this.
