On your phone battery replacement is pretty simple and straight-forward. The rear cover isn't glued on, so no heat is required to remove it. Once that's off, you take out a few screws securing the upper midframe bracket, then you can unplug the power button and the battery. Use the pull tab to take out the battery and you're done. This video, although I don't speak Italian, will show you everything you need to know to make this repair.

As you work, take lots of pictures and once you're done you can use them to create your own iFixit guide to that repair. It's easy, fun and will have the appreciation of the repair community, especially those who come after you with the same problem.

Hi,

If you are looking for a DIY solution, do a quick search on YouTube for "Realme Note 50 battery replacement", or "

#repair replace disassembly #realme note 50 display", and you will find some videos that show the general disassembly process. Unfortunately, iFixit does not yet have any guides for this phone, but from my quick research, the general process is:

  • Remove the back cover of the phone by prying around the screen with a guitar pick or similar tool. Gently heating up the edge of the phone with a heat gun may help.
  • unscrew the top plastic cover piece that includes the camera lenses, be careful, there might be a few hidden screws near the camera lenses.
  • Unplug the battery from the main board and any other ribbon cables in the way.
  • Remove the battery using the pull tabs and or isopropyl alcohol to dissolve the glue.
  • Install a new battery.
  • reassemble.

This might be a difficult process if you are not familiar with DIY mobile phone repairs, so the other option is to take it to a shop that can do battery replacements.

Hope this helps!
