Background and Identification
The Epson L220 is a printer, scanner, and copier released around 2016. Notably, the printer uses tanks to store cyan, magenta, yellow, and black ink. The tanks can be refilled using bottles of ink sold by Epson (here is a link to the replacements on Amazon). The printer can use all regular types of paper and can print 27 black and white pages per minute or 15 color pages per minute.
The machine can scan papers at a resolution of 600 dpi. You can receive the scans as a BMP, JPEG, TIFF, or PDF file or make copies immediately. The L220 does not have any wireless capability, so it connects to a computer using only USB.
You can identify this printer by looking for the words “Epson“ and “L220” printed in white on the front of the device. After some time using the printer, you may receive an error stating that the ink pad is used up. Here is a YouTube video showing how to replace this component.
