This guide will help you remove the motherboard from your JBL Clip 4 Speaker. Sometimes, when a Clip 4's Bluetooth connection is not working, the motherboard will be the culprit since the Bluetooth comes from the motherboard, so a faulty motherboard can mess with connection, or even stop the speaker from properly working.

Get a tool to pry the front grill off, ideally using one of the iFixit tools. This is required as the front grill is glued onto the device.

First, you must unscrew the 5 Phillip head screws (6mm) around the edge of the device.

The battery connects into the motherboard, and it is inside the black box shaped part that has a cable connecting into the motherboard. You must disconnect the cable connecting the battery to the motherboard.

You now must unscrew these four 3mm Philip head screws that connect the motherboard with the device.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
