  1. Mt. Fury Roadmaster Rear Derailleur Replacement, Rear Derailleur: adım 1, 1 resimden 1.

    • Flip the bicycle upside down so that the bicycle rests on the seat and handlebars. The bike should be able to stay standing on its own.

    • Locate and remove the main axle nuts (both sides) with a 15mm open-end wrench.

    • Pull the chain slack and remove the tire.

    • Locate and remove the rear phillips head screw on the sprocket to remove one side of chain guard.

    • Rotate the derailleur arm forward to access the phillips head screw from the forwardmost sprocket. Remove the screw.

    • Be careful to hold the chain guard in place so the sprocket and washers don't fall out. (Chain guard is highlighted in red).

    • Locate and loosen the hex bolt that clamps the shifting cable.

    • Remove mounting screw that attaches the derailleur to the bicycle frame.

    • Loosen the shifting cable tension adjustment nut and remove the cable from the derailleur assembly .
