Numark N4 Audio Jack Replacement

This guide shows how to replace the audio jack without needing to replace the entire motherboard it is attached to.

  1. Numark N4 Audio Jack Replacement, Numark N4 Disassembly: adım 1, 1 resimden 1.

    • Turn the Numark N4 over so that the bottom panel is facing upwards.

    • Loosen and remove the 17 12mm screws from the bottom panel using a Phillips #2 screwdriver.

    • Using your fingers, gently pull apart the two panels of the device until you feel resistance from the cables.

    • Using your fingers, gently unplug the larger ribbon cable as pictured.

    • Using your fingers, gently unplug the smaller ribbon cable as pictured.

  6. Numark N4 Audio Jack Replacement: adım 5, 1 resimden 1.

    • Using your fingers, gently unplug the yellow and red cable as pictured.

  7. Numark N4 Audio Jack Replacement: adım 6, 1 resimden 1.

    • Open the two panels completely, gently placing each side on your working area to avoid damage to the buttons on the outside face.

  8. Numark N4 Audio Jack Replacement, Audio Jack: adım 7, 1 resimden 1.

    • Turn the panel around so that the audio jack is facing forward as shown.

  9. Numark N4 Audio Jack Replacement: adım 8, 1 resimden 1.

    • Using a soldering station, carefully desolder the connection points around the audio jack and remove it.
