If your Panasonic GU87 SIM card is damaged, lost, or no longer functioning correctly, this guide will walk you through replacing it. A faulty or improperly inserted SIM card can lead to network connectivity issues, dropped calls, or an inability to send and receive messages. In some cases, a damaged SIM reader may be the underlying cause.
If you've already attempted basic troubleshooting, such as reinserting the SIM card, testing it on another device, or cleaning the contacts, replacing the SIM card may be the next step in restoring proper functionality.
Before you begin this repair, power off your phone and disconnect it from the charger.

Place your hands on the phone as shown in picture. Slightly pull the tab away from the phone with your thumb.

Lift the battery up from the phone as shown. Replace with a new battery if the old battery has become worn out.

Using your index finger, insert the SIM card into the slot, making sure it's face the right direction.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
