To remove the battery you have to actually desolder both ends from the chip.
What are the dimensions/specs of the battery?
The tricky part is taking the case appart. You have to gently pry on tabs to get it appart. You may break some pieces which probably won’t be a problem. May make it no longer waterproof. The battery is custom but is close to a 14450 Lion battery, do searches on ebay and aliexpress you will find them. Good luck.
Battery is a 14500 lithium ion battery. Polarity can be checked with a multimeter

I’ve now disassembled two different Norelco shavers, and both, sadly, had soldered-in batteries.
I used to be an electronics tech decades ago, and have spent hundreds of hours with a soldering iron in my hands.
Unsoldering these batteries was difficult. Not much room. I ruined one shaver.
It’s often recommended not unsoldering the old battery from the little ckt board, to instead leave it connected but to clip the tab, then solder the new battery to the old tab. This worked for me, but again, not much room. A capacitor blocked access at one terminal.
Speaking of terminal, one person noted “the stupid company didn’t mark the battery polarity on the board.” This is true, but not an issue, as the new battery will go in the same way as the old one. On the two shavers I opened, both had the positive terminal closer to the blades.
The battery costs under ten dollars on Amazon. Seems a good investment for an old shaver.
Did you find a shorter length 14500 L/I battery that fit the 2100's battery holder. My original battery is only 43 mm long (tall), and the frame it sits in does not appear to allow anything longer.

Excellent tutorial. Had it apart in five minutes. You have to de-solder the batteries from the circuit board though.
