Teddy Ruxpin Mouth Replacement

The mouth should move along with storytime as audio is playing through the speaker. This guide will include desoldering and unscrewing, so be sure to utilize the iFixit desoldering guide while replacing this part as well as the other prerequisite guides.

    • This will be difficult and require significant force, but do not fear about breaking the doll at this stage.

    • Remove the top of the housing to access the electronics inside.

    • Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the two 12.5mm screws connecting the eyes to the rest of the mechanism.

    • Unplug the two sets of wires connected to the back of the eyes by using moderate to high force.

    • Remove five 12.5mm Phillips #1 screws.

    • Pull the mouth mechanism out of the shell.

    • Unscrew the last 12.5mm Phillips #1 screw holding the mouth together
