-[title] rear wheel
-[* black] The brake on the rear wheel is a rather uncommonly used but standard coaster brake.
- [* icon_note] This makes us a little curious since the wheel easily skids when pulled too hard which is more likely when using a hand lever instead of a back pedal brake. Also coaster brakes tend to get hot when used on long descents. But seen in the long term it is nearly maintenance-free and only needs some lubrication from time to time.
-[* black] The guide arm of the bowden wire has no gap and the wire is riveted at the end. Which means we can not thread it out and leave it attached to the brake.
-[* black] So we loosen the guide arm that holds the brake to the frame and lift out the 16" wheel with its 28 spokes, the roller brake and the 3-gear hub.
+[* black] The rear wheel has a hub [http://www.sheldonbrown.com/rollerbrakes.html|roller brake|new_window=true], a style of [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle_brake#Drum_brakes|drum brake|new_window=true].
+ [* icon_note] This is an interesting choice, while it keeps the brakes protected from the elements, they are more likely to skid and overheat on long downhills. In the long run, these brakes should be nearly maintenance-free and only require some lubrication from time to time.
+[* black] We start to fish out the brake cable, but it looks like it's riveted to the hub assembly, and will stay attached at that end.
+[* black] So we loosen the bolt holding the hub to the frame and lift out the 16" wheel with its 28 spokes, 3-gear hub and roller brake, ''and'' its trailing brake cable...
