You now have access to the motor assembly. This can be removed from the body of the brush bar with some gentle twisting and tugging.

You do not need to remove the belt drive assembly to remove any hair caught in the ball bearing

Once removed, you can use a 9mm socket to rotate a spiral mechanism and loosen the belt drive.
