This step shows how to create an initial gap using an opening tool. If you don't have an opening tool, skip to the next step.

Pull up on the suction handle with strong, steady force.

Press the edge of an opening tool downwards into the seam to create an initial gap.

If you're having trouble, reheat the edge and try again.

Insert the tip of an opening pick into the gap.

Don't insert the pick more than 2 mm, or you may damage the screen.
