This step is done to minimize risk of accidental short-circuit which might be dangerous for both user and device.

Be very careful during this step! The capacitor can be charged up to 330 volts and cause a danger to life or health under unfortunate circumstances.

Short-circuit the contacts of the capacitor through a suitable load. I used 100k resistor for 5 seconds and later did second short-circuit with just a wire.

Remove white and red connectors.
