Remove the old adhesive

  • Before you install new adhesive strips, remove all of the old adhesive from the perimeter of the rear enclosure.

  • If you are re-using your existing display, you must also remove the old adhesive from the back of the display.

  • Peel off the adhesive strips using tweezers or your fingers. Start at the bottom and peel upward towards the top of the device.

  • After all the old adhesive is removed, carefully clean the surface with 90% (or greater) isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Wipe in one direction, not back and forth.

  • Don't skip this step, or your new adhesive strips may not bond properly, and the display may fall out of your iMac.

Verwijder de oude kleefstrips

Voordat je de nieuwe kleefstrips bevestigt, zul je de oude kleefstrips, die rondom de achterste behuizing zitten, moeten verwijderen.

Als je je huidige scherm hergebruikt, zul je de oude kleefstrips aan de achterkant van het scherm moeten verwijderen.

Trek de kleefstrips er met je vingers of een pincet af. Begin aan de onderkant en trek de strips richting de bovenkant van het toestel.

Als je alle oude kleefstrips hebt verwijderd, maak je het oppervlak met wat 90% isopropylalcohol en een pluisvrije doek schoon. Veeg altijd in een en dezelfde richting en niet heen en weer.

Sla deze stap niet over. Als je het oppervlak niet schoonmaakt, zal de kleefstrip niet goed hechten en kan het scherm in de toekomst uit je iMac vallen.
