Evalúa el estado del cartucho.

  • Si el cartucho es tuyo y se ha guardado correctamente en un lugar aislado del polvo, con usar una lata de aire comprimido antes de introducirlo en la consola bastará.

  • Si acabamos de adquirir el cartucho y este no tenía caja o no se ha guardado como debería y presenta señales de suciedad, lo mejor es proceder con una limpieza más a fondo y saltarnos el uso de la lata de aire.

  • Si la carcasa presenta señales muy evidentes de suciedad o esta se encuentra bloqueando los conectores, intenta determinar el origen de la suciedad, ya que si está causada por derramamiento de líquidos como un yogur o un refresco, puede no tener solución aunque se limpie el cartucho.

Evaluate the condition of the cartridge.

If the cartridge is yours and has been stored correctly in a dust-free environment, using a can of compressed air before inserting it into the console will be sufficient.

If we have just acquired the cartridge, and it either didn't come with a box or hasn't been stored properly, and it shows signs of dirt, it's best to proceed with a more thorough cleaning and skip using the can of compressed air.

Obvious signs of dirt or if the dirt is blocking the connectors, try to determine the source of the dirt. If it's caused by spilled liquids like yogurt or a soft drink, it may not be fixable even if you clean the cartridge.
