Before starting the screen replacement process, you'll want to back up as much of your data as possible. If your screen is so broken you can't use your phone at all, you can connect a monitor and mouse with a USB-C to HDMI cable and a USB-C hub.

Once you've backed up your data, turn off the phone, remove any external cases or covers, and remove the SIM/microSD card tray.

Before disassembling your phone, it's a good idea to give it a good cleaning to avoid getting dirt inside delicate things like connectors or the camera lenses. I like to do this with 91% rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cleaning wipe.
