  • Note that the CPU will most likely remain stuck to the underside of the heat sink as it's lifted out. Take care not to damage it.

  • Lift and remove the heat sink assembly from the logic board.

  • When reassembling your iMac, remove the CPU from the heat sink and reinstall it separately from the heat sink. This will make sure it's installed correctly and prevent damage.

  • Follow our thermal paste application guide to reapply the thermal paste to the graphics processor (GPU). You should also replace the heavy thermal compound or apply thermal pads to the VRAM chips.

Wees je ervan bewust dat de CPU waarschijnlijk aan de onderkant van het koellichaam blijft plakken als je het koellichaam verwijdert. Zorg dat beide onderdelen niet beschadigd raken.

Til de koellichaammodule van het moederbord af.

Verwijder de CPU, bij het weer in elkaar zetten van je iMac, van het koellichaam en plaats deze los van het koellichaam weer terug. Op die manier is het makkelijker de CPU op de juiste wijze te bevestigen en schade te voorkomen.

Gebruik onze handleiding voor het vervangen van de koelpasta om de nieuwe koelpasta op de GPU te plaatsen. Zorg ook dat je de heavy thermal compound op de VRAM-chips vervangt of dat je in plaats daarvan thermische kussen op de chips plaatst.
