Why does my fuse keep blowing out,on my heater?
My heater keeps going out in my 1990 subaru legacy,I replaced the fuse, and it worked for a few minutes, and went out again.I wanted to know why it keeps happening?

It seems like something inside the heater is probably worn out (most likely the blower motor but I'm not sure) and drawing too much current. You can narrow down the cause by using an ammeter hooked up in series with the positive wire of individual components in your heating system to test the amount of current they are drawing. If, for example, the blower motor is the cause of blown fuses, the current (in Amps before the fuse blows) displayed by the ammeter hooked up in series with the (+) blower motor wire will probably exceed the rating printed on the fuses you are installing. This indicates that the blower is drawing too much current, is probably worn, and should be replaced. Note that this is a general troubleshooting technique and that I have limited experience working on Subarus.
