Our door bell failed and on inspection the battery charging socket looked contaminated by moisture. I cleaned it but the unit would only stay online for about an hour then indicated loss of WiFi

Investigation went well using the guide on removing case.

I noticed the mesh indicated in the picture was displaced and not making contact with plate below it. On pressing it down it seemed to have adhesive on it to hold it in place. When closing the case I put two small pieces of thin packing foam on top of mesh to hold it down. Cover replaced and unit left online in house to help dry out any moisture. We’ve had storms & heavy rain humidity over 95%

Unit was ok for 3 hours so refitted outside

It has been 0degC overnight and it’s still working!

You must have good small screwdrivers for case screws, a work mat that holds removed parts
