My iPhone 4S battery had degraded over the past several months. When my iPhone was new I could get at least 36 hours out of a fully charged battery. By the summer of 2013, I wasn't even getting 24 hours out of a charge. I needed to have a charger with me almost constantly. I figured if my phone was going to make the leap to iOS 7, it would need a new battery.

My repair didn't even take 15 minutes. Your iPhone liberation kit ensured that any repairs would be even easier in the future. Dealing with the RF shield clip was the trickiest part - it's tiny! I was concerned about dust getting on my camera lens, but that turned out just fine. The new battery performs (surprise) like new. I'm back to getting 36-48 hours out of a full charge.

Keep your work area clean. The back cover of the 4S is a bit tough to pop off especially if it's the first time the cover has been removed. Keep a close eye on the RF shield clip and the tiny RF shims as they can move around during the repair.
