Hi There! My name is David Samuel Godlyf Samoa.
I am a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island. I am a Civil engineering student, who is also planning to major in landscape architecture and Japanese.
I come from a rural village in Indonesia. Growing up, my parents could not afford children's toys but that did not stop me to get what I want. So from an early age, I had learned to create my own toys from trash and used them to play with my friends. The toys that I made were fragile, so at the same time, I also learned to fix my toys.
In 2016 I got a scholarship to continue my high school in the U.S. and because of this, I got the opportunity to pursue my interest. I took a robotics class in high school and also join this robotic club, so I cab create robots. Then, In 2019 our robotics club participate in the Frist Robotics composition ( FRC), tough our team did not make it to the final, I was thankful for the experience and the knowledge had I obtained.
So I’m really excited to create the first iFixit guides and also I am looking forward to learning new skills and new information as much as I can.
