Battery Will Not Charge
Battery level is not increasing when plugged in.
Malfunctioning Power Adapter
Ensure that the device is fully charged or plugged into a power adapter. If either of these are the case, and the screen still refuses to start, then the charger adapter could possibly be damaged. You will need to buy a new charger adapter appropriate for your Acer Aspire 6530-6522. You may also contact Acer. They can repair or replace the device in accordance with their repair and replace policy.
Battery Fully Discharged
A common issue with Acers is that if they have been left on 0% battery for an extended period of time the battery may completely discharge. When a battery completely discharges it may not recharge again. The easiest way to fix this issue would be to replace the battery. See the Battery Replacement Guide.
Device Hangs On Black Screen During Startup
Device starts to power up but screen remains black.
Improper Display Settings
If the computer seems to be starting up but not displaying anything, there may be something wrong with the display settings. Try connecting an external screen, either by monitor cable or HDMI. If you get a picture you should be able to change the display settings back to the laptop screen. If this does not work, there may be something wrong with the screen or its connection. Contact Acer, they can repair or replace the device in accordance with their repair and replace policy.
Damaged Screen
Your display may not be connected properly or damaged. Contact Acer, they can repair or replace the device in accordance with their repair and replace policy.
Faulty Hard Drive
The hard drive may have bad sectors or be faulty and in need of replacement. See the Hard Drive Replacement Guide.
Faulty Motherboard
If your device begins startup but stops immediately after, the motherboard may not be getting power or be faulty. You should contact Acer. They can repair or replace the device in accordance with their repair and replace policy.
Damaged Power Board
If the device has power but pressing the power button seems to have no response, the power board under the power button may be faulty or damaged. See the Power Board Replacement Guide.
Wireless Connection Strength Drops Randomly
Wireless connection is less than optimal causing a slow Internet connection.
Poor Wi-Fi Strength From the Router
If there are multiple devices on the same network that are experiencing poor Wi-Fi connection then the router may be the source of the problem. Fewer devices using the same router may help. If that does not help, try to restart the router and modem. If that does not work then please follow the troubleshooting steps in the manual that came with the router/modem.
Low Battery
If the wireless connection gets weaker when your Aspire’s battery is low then you may need to charge your device. With many different types of technology when a device's battery gets low it performs worse. The same applies to Aspires, so when you notice that the wireless connection gets worse at a low battery it may be time to charge the laptop.
Device Starts Up and Functions Slowly
Starting up and other functions take much longer than expected.
Virus
Viruses can slow a computer in various ways. If you have a Anti-Virus software, run a scan. If you do not, you can buy the software or there are free ones available online.
Fragmented Hard Drive
Over time the data on a hard drive can get fragmented as items are created, deleted, and moved. This makes the computer take longer the find all the portions of files that are in different locations. Your computer comes with a Disk Defragmenter which helps fix this issue. In the Windows menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter. You can Analyze Disk to do a quick scan to see how bad the hard drive is before Defragging or just immediately select Defragment Disk. This process can take a while.
Faulty Hard Drive

Not Enough RAM
You may not have as much memory as your system needs. To add or replace memory see the RAM Replacement Guide.
Screen Display Is Distorted Or Missing Pixels
Screen is fully or partially black, or images are distorted.
