Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle Plus Troubleshooting

OontZ Angle Plus does not show any signs of powering on.

The problem could be that the battery does not have enough power for OontZ Angle Plus to turn on. Before disassembling your Oontz Angle Plus try to charge it and see if it turns on.

It is possible for one or more wires to get disconnected from the battery. If that is the case disassemble your device and reattach them using this guide.

It is possible for the battery to break after prolonged use. If that is the case disassemble your device and check for other problems before replacing the battery. If there are no other problems replace the battery using this guide.

One or more speakers does not make any sound.

Sound issues can occur if cables are not plugged in all the way. Check if the AUX cable is plugged in all the way. If not try to plug it in all the way.

Sometimes wires can get disconnected from speakers. Check if there is power coming to the speaker by disassembling the speaker and checking the wire connections. If not use this guide to connect it.

There is no audio coming from the computer.

Check if the speaker is turned on, if it is off and you cannot turn it on refer to this section.

It is possible for audio cable to be broken or for the volume to be turned down to zero. Make sure that the audio cable is completely inserted and try to increase the sound level. Also try to check if the cable is not working by using a different one. If the cable is working and the speaker is on check if the AUX port is not working. If that is the case refer to this guide to replace or reconnect the motherboard.

There is no audio coming from the Bluetooth device.

It is possible to the speaker is not connected to the Bluetooth Device. Check to see if the Bluetooth device is paired to the speaker and make sure that the volume is turned up. Try restarting the Bluetooth device and the speaker. If that does not resolve the issue check wiring to the speakers and battery using this guide.

AUX or USB port is not working.

It is possible that the cable is broken. Check if the cable you used is faulty by using a different USB/AUX cable. If that is the case replace or repair the faulty cable.

If USB or AUX port is not attached to the motherboard then you will be unable to use it. Check if that is the case by disassembling your speaker and looking at the points where the ports should be attached. You can locate them or replace the motherboard using this guide.

Crackling sounds coming from the speaker

It is possible that the cable is not plugged in properly or that the speakers are not connected properly. Check if the AUX cable is plugged in all the way and that all cables inside of the speaker are properly connected. If not use this guide to connect them.

Popping sounds coming from the speaker

It is possible for other speakers to cause interference with the connection. Try to use a different cable or move the speaker away from other speakers and cables.

It is possible for AUX port to be disconnected or for the cable to not be connected properly. Check if the AUX cable or the AUX port is properly connected and if speakers are properly connected. If not use this guide to locate the AUX port.
