Does your Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro vacuum’s floor roller no longer spin, even though the vacuum is otherwise working? Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro vacuums are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause the floor roller to stop spinning. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.
Vacuum on the Wrong Setting
If the vacuum’s floor roller is not spinning, the vacuum simply may not know that you want it to be rolling. Make sure that the power switch is in position II “Brush Roll On.” If the vacuum is not in this setting, the floor roller will not turn.
Roller Blockage
If the vacuum’s floor roller does not turn and it is in the proper setting, debris may have wrapped around the roller, stopping it from turning. This can commonly occur due to hair or other string-like materials wrapping around the roller. If this is the case, unplug the vacuum and turn it on its side on the floor. Take a look at the floor roller at the bottom of the vacuum and use a pair of scissors to carefully cut away any debris wrapped around the floor roller and pull out the debris with your fingers. You may need to manually turn the floor roller to get the debris on the other side. Repeat this process until all of the debris is cleared.
Nozzle Isn’t Fully Attached
If the vacuum’s nozzle is not completely attached, power may not be able to reach the floor roller at the bottom of the vacuum. Even if the vacuum has suction, power may not be reaching the roller brush. Push down on the handle when the vacuum head is on the floor to complete the connection. If you are having trouble completing the connection, something may be blocking the area. Clear out any debris from the connection area and try to complete the connection again.
