replacing the SIM card reader?

Hi,

how dangerous could be replacing the SIM card reader? Is it done using infrared or by soldering iron/tool?

First, Why you want to change sim reader? Is it damaged or just doesnt recognize sim card?

It is soldered to the Logic Board. You will have to replace the whole board.

it is possible to replace it but it is no easy job...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UevQxWH1.... You will need a soldering iron with a small tip.
