I was using and after market car charger for my Iphone5 and the connector to the phone got so hot and after that the phone would not charge or turn on

domrusso1, it is possible that the charger shorted some components on your logicboard. I would start by replacing the battery and the dock connector. While you do this, check for burned,missing components. Pay particular attention to the PMIC and the charging coil.After you replace those parts, reevaluate and see what you get.
