In its first year in production, the Santa Fe was offered with one of two engine and transmission combinations. In North America, a fuel-efficient 2.4 L four-cylinder engine was standard equipment and could be mated with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.

Have oil going into my antifreeze in my 2004 Hyundai SantaFe GL?

I replaced the head gasket 4000 miles ago. So far I have checked compression. Done everything I can think of, short of re-doing the head gasket again.

It may be residual oil from the prior head gasket replacement. If the compression is OK, there is no white exhaust smoke (with an almost "sweet" smell), and it's not running hot I wouldn't worry about it. Apparently this has been reported a lot for Hyundai - all models. You may need to remove the overflow and clean it out with a degreaser.

You may have a blown head gasket, or cracked head , or cracked block. A compression check should tell you.
