How to remove and reattach the glued parts from the rear panel?

On the following instruction to replace 3GS rear panel:

It ends at the back cover with all the glued part still remains, including the silver front bezel. How can I remove them nicely and reattached to a new replacement rear cover?

What tools do I need?

Use a heat gun, or even a blow dryer to heat up the cables and other parts, then with pry bars you should be able to lift them up (an iSesamo) will be better too but becareful not to rip the cables. They are all glued with adhesive and glue. The first three Tools on this page should help you out.

What type of glue can I use to re-attach it to the replacement panel?

I have done it with superglue before (maybe somebody else can chime in if some other type is better) just use a little drop for the cables. For the frame go around it with the superglue but don't put too much as you don't want it to mess up your new rear panel.

I simply use double tape. I keep two kinds in stock:

Clear+thick with strong hold (around 10mm width) and

Black+thin with medium hold (around 3mm width).
