frigidaire works ok, bout only fills with cold water

model number ffle1011mw2 frigidaire stackable washer and dryer. All settings work ok; fills with water after selecting either hot or cold, but water in tub is always cold. All cycles run to completion. Checked water hoses: not kinked, hot water getting to washer ok.

I have the same problem and to top it off my rinses are coming out hot!!! You never want to rinse clothes in hot water because they wrinkle. My husband changed the hoses to make them opposite and it didn't make any difference.

What is the model number of the washer/dryer combo unit?

tarafından

@jayeff

The model number is FLCE752CAW4

purchased a July 2023

tarafından

@saradunn

Given that you only got it in July '23, get if repaired under warranty.

Seems like the temp control is not working and it should always rinse in cold water only.

Just fixed a similar stacking washer with the same problem.

Set your wash temperature to hot and start a fill. If very little water coming in try this...

Turns out there is a filter screen inside the hose connections on the washer. The hot was plugged up due to some previous water line flushing.

A good scrub with a Q-tip and hot water was flowing happily again.

My problem is not dirty filter or anything other than a factory flaw. Both machines were brand new. Hot water was measured at recommended 150 degrees F. Why would the system be designed to start a hot water wash with cold water. I guess that would be acceptable if the right amount of hot and cold water were monitored correctly.

Try switching the hoses around. You’ll get hot water instead of cold

This happens to me. The pipes have to warm up by running hot water through them. If the washer is close to the kitchen open the sink hot water valve first and see how long it takes hot water to get to it. (This cold water from the hot water side is what is first getting to your machine). Once it is hot then try the washer.

We had our new washer replaced for that very reason there was nothing wrong with available, pressure, temperature or distance from hot water tank.

Both boards to do with settings and temperatures were replaced and nothing changed, still ends up with cool water on a hot water setting. Tech wrote a non- reparable report to factory rep. And machine was replaced. New replacement arrived and it did the exact same thing.

When tub finished filling the water measured, with a thermometer under 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Very unhappy about this new, $1,600 plus taxes machine.

Agree

The control cards need replacement to prevent mostly cold water entering tub when requesting a hot water wash.

For me they won’t accept this problem exists and is unacceptable.

Hi

I think Mr Mayer might be on to it. Try to remove the hot water hose at the washer and turn the valve on the wall on.Run the hot water till it is hot. Now connect it again and turn the washer to hot wash and cold rinsing.Check if the water is hot.If it is cold the hot and cold hoses might be switched.

My washer starts a hot wash with cold water after it’s half full or so it opens the hot water supply and fills until its reached its full point. When it stops filling I give the agitator a few turns to mix the hot and cold and measures the temp with a thermometer and it never gets more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit, that’s cooler than body temperature not close to the 150 degree water supply.

I am having the same issue. Two repair persons came out. Both of them say nothing is wrong. But the water in the tub fills first with just cold water. The little bit of hot water after that isn't enough to raise the temp to even body temperature. The repairman stated that the machine was designed to be energy-saving. This just isn't acceptable. Why do we have a hot water heater? To clean the clothes in warm or hot water to get them clean. Someone help as I need to return this item.

same problem piece of crap it wont do what it is set to never buying this brand again buying a new set as soon as i can so disapointed and mad sales

Put your hot water setting on hot and cycle to Bulky you'll get hot water after it fills with some cold if you can run the nearest hot water faucet to get hot water to the area if some sort of goofy energy saving that you only get hot water if it's set on bulky it's goofy but that's what I found out after trying the different settings

tarafından

Originally the $100 installation charge consist of somebody who did not know how to hook up hot and cold hoses they had them reversed which I rectified immediately and then discovered that you only get hot water if the wash cycle is set on bulky run the nearest faucet until the water is very hot and you'll get steaming hot water in your double stack every time

Are you sure hot water is actually running thru the line? If it has a mixing valve the silenoid could be bad.

Yes, I stood there today and kept checking as it was filling - very hot. However the water in the tub was cool/cold. It almost seems like there is water that remains under the tub from a previous wash, by then cold, and a significant amount of it. I'm sure that's crazy. Top load washer.

Frigidare Model FFLE1011mw2 won’t finish a fill cycle. It starts to fill then quits. Have only had the washer eight mos.

How much filling does it do before it quits?

What wash temperature did you select? Try hot-only, then try cold-only do they both fill? If so then the washer not only is getting the water but the valves inside is letting the water in. All that's left is the tubing/hoses between the tub and fill valves.

If one temperature doesn't fill then it could be that temperature line is plugged or the valve not working. Try swapping hot for cold hoses at the washer and see if cold fills with hot setting or hot with the cold setting.

My cold water hose has a strainer at the faucet and it was plugged so cold wouldn't fill. I tried filling with hot and that worked.

Touch the washer where the hoses connect & start the fill. You should feel the valve open and hear a click. If you don't then the valve is likely faulty.

As Pete said 20140624, disconnect the washers hose and turn on the water (with the hose in a bucket or the washer drain line). That proves the water supply to the washer. Everything else is "in the wash"er.
