What type of new charging port I need to buy?

the port breaks because they cut half of it out to fit the case, you can get it swapped out by a phone repair shop for a regular micro usb port and file away a bit of the case to suit.

and alternative if you do not use otg is to take it apart and introduce a charger direct to the battery, if desperate then soldering a regular usb cable to the battery points and using an intelligent charger to prevent overcharging, the better way is to take a case such as the fintie slate 7 one and stitch a QI charging circuit into the case then put a QI 1000mA receiver pad onto the back of the note 7 case underneath the copper sheilding and solder to the battery. with a steady hand you can route the +5v through the original charge circuit but its less hassle and easier to go straight to the battery. the chager will tell you when it is working and switch off when the device is full.

cost - around the same as getting the original port replaced but less risky IMO.

OTG requires a Micro-USB AB port - it's also why your regular MicroUSB cable seems loose.

My Xolo Tegra Note 7 tablet stopped charging before a month. I gave it to authorized service center. But after 2 days they gave it back saying, as I have downgraded tablet the motherboard is gone. I took it back and shown it to a shop in local Pune market. 2 small shop told me that it's not repairable as the joints are very small and while soldering one thing it would damage tablet.

I got lucky to visit a shop in Pimpri Market. The service guy did an excellent job. He opened the tablet carefully and saw the chipset under magnifying glasses. He found a crack in connector. It's very hard to see with naked eyes.

You don't need to replace any Port. You can get it fixed in a good repair shop which has magnifying glasses

Got the same problem but worst thing about it is that xolo center cant fix/repair tegra note because the the serial number is written with lava tegra note, and lava. center ignored me to repair, &&^&! :-(

just wired usb cable direct to battery leading it through hole meant for stylus.

Excellent! works spot on thanks so much for the idea, had note 7 sat in pieces trying to find a suitable replacement usb port for the last 8 months, so glad to have my tablet back, it kicks my partners Nexus 7's arse all over the place!

This may be a bit too little too late. But your problem isn't a loose connection. The problem is the substandard component they installed. The charging port is flawed or a second bought from Samsung. The wafer tab in the center of the port is so weak it is where the connection breaks. At first it becomes loose enough it gets pushed up so it does not insert into your plug. Eventually breaks off completely. I made many attempts to contact EVGA, NVIDEA both and they would not hear of it issue a recall or provide me with a replacement.(as I own one of each with same problem) at one time Samsung phones had this problem as well. I never found a fix for this. So I did the same thing to mine and just soildered the wires directly to the battery. It would drain slightly faster having the charger wired directly when not plugged in but worked well for quite some time until the soilder joints gave out.
