Why is my camera not turning on?
Hi. It seems that no matter what I do, the camera doesn't seem to want to turn on. Nothing is displaying on the screen and the camera doesn't seem to react to anything.

First you want to check the batteries to see if they are working properly. Next, check to see if the batteries are the correct size and that they are connected correctly. Make sure the batteries are touching the posts. Lastly, try removing the batteries and putting them back in.

Searching for other fixes. This didn't do it.
My Nikon Coolpix S9400 will not turn either. I checked the battery and it shows 3.8volts. When I press the on button it turns green and I hear a beep and but then the lite goes out I get the flash indicator flashing green and the camera does not turn on. If I press the on/off button again the flash indicator turns off. Is there a way to reset the camera? Could the battery be bad and not supplying the current needed to run the camera?
Same problem I went outside two days ago I made grate photos when I came home after one hour I wanted to download the photos to my laptop but the camera never turned on I replaced the battery and still nothing no ideea what to do next :(

Mines doing same thing.. Green light comes on, screen shows for half a second then goes black but green light still on batteries fully charged lithium batteries.. HELP
just had the same issue May 5, 2018 - this camera has never been used except a couple of photo snaps to see the photo quality ehen given to me as a bday gift in 2012. Was st my brother's wedding planning to use it - turned on but no picture and it shut it self down. Apparently this camera MUST have all alkaline batteries to work - called tech support - bought alkaline batteries and no more issues of this kind.

Both my sister and I have the same camera for 3yrs ,gone to use it and the green on light turns on the nothing and does nothing have changed batteries still does not work is this a common fault with this make both were bought for Xmas presents Dec 2012 for our family holiday to Florida in Nov 2013 worked fine no issues what so ever gone to set it up for Xmas and nothing and it's a bit strange that my sisters is doing exactly the same thing ???!!!
