2 What is a lens error?
The camera turned on just fine. After setting the time zone and date, the lens moves but stops and makes a weird sound. The screen showed a lens error and shut down.

A lens error generally occurs when there is a jammed lens. Check for any obstructions preventing the lens from extending, and replacing the battery with fully charged batteries before using our Lens replacement guide.
